BAD ENGINE started out way back when I put a production company together
consisting of a select group of talented freelancers in various cities.
Depending upon where we were shooting and what was on board, I'd
assemble the right people for the project.
I called this production Mad Engine. We still operate as Mad Engine
Productions today for our commercial photo shoots.
The kind of stuff Mad Engine does is usually a "lifestyle" look with
some edginess, some "grit" and some individuality. Clients
looking for cool movie clip looking imagery that suggests a story
unfolding or about to unfold, look to us to take them from pablum
advertising to another level altogether.
I like quirky shots and often cast real people who have never been in
front of a camera before.
There's a lot more than just taking a picture that makes a shot rock.
It's killer models, amazing hair and makeup artistry, cool locations and
tight pre-production. A lot happens before the trigger gets pulled.
I created BAD ENGINE as a home for some of the edgier imagery where
people who love the kind of pictures we do can visit and check out
what's going on and learn a little about how it all happens.
This is a fun business and the BAD ENGINE web site is home to some of the
more exciting and cutting edge imagery we put out.
Often we are asked if the images we do are available as posters or T-shirts.
Any of the images with the exception of a few locked into tight usage
and release contracts are available as prints, tank tops and T-shirts.
Hopefully by offering our images as wearables, we will satisfy the many
requests we have gotten and keep those really cool images out there for
folks to enjoy.
